I believe in the children of the world, the reality of making a difference, the people who are trying, the hope of a brighter future, the things I know that are true, real, right, and good.
But I don't believe in hating others for any reason.
I believe in love beyond the grave, I believe in living a life of meaning, I believe in showing love to others, butterflies, rainbows, and babies. And I believe in being the best me I can be each and every day.

The Glory of Flowers

Purple pansies are so very sweet
They are even sometimes good to eat

Yellow nasturtium are pretty to see
Their color rivals the bumblebee

Poppies that are orange dot the hill
Their color gives me such a thrill

Red hibiscus where I grew up
Make me happy and fill my cup

Blue hydrangea are always breathtaking
Just like a pretty butterfly on the wing

Orchids of green have glory and elegance
Their color will make you want to dance

I glory in the colors that are all around
Our Father has provided for all earthbound

I remember my heart surgery

I remember my visits to the doctors

I remember getting tired and saying, "Daddy, pick me up!"

I remember having X-Rays and how nasty the barium solution was

I remember going to the hospital

I remember being wheeled on a gurney

A Triplet

A triplet is a kind of rhyme,
That only takes a little time,
Here it is now please be kind!

I wish, but I am

I wish I could write a quick poem

Like some of my friends seem to do

And I dream that I could be published

I am not sure that will come true

I used to think I couldn't do it

But now I see that I can

I seem to have overcome my anguish 

But I'm really excited to plan.
