I wish I could help hurting despondent people understand

We can all be a hero to ourselves
We can be a hero when we help another in any way
We can be a hero as we struggle through our trials, and we all have them
We can be a hero every day. Just a smile at people you meet
We can be a hero by helping others, which in turn helps us
We can be our own hero as we serve others and bless own own lives
So serve yourself be serving others
Be the hero in your own life

Day 26-Poem in My Pocket

I was at work at the Library yesterday and saw this book that intrigued me. WhileI was going through the book, a quote really rang true for me. That’s what I’m using today. The book is Staying Strong: 365 day’s a year” by Demi Lovato.

There will be times when something good comes to and end. Instead of thinking about the fact that it’s over—stay positive that it happened in the first place. I was so sad to return home after spending time in Africa with my friends and family. We were all crying when it was time to go—no one wanted to leave such an amazing place. I can look back now, though, without crying. I’m so thankful for my time spent there with people I love, and I can’t wait to go back. 

Goal: Think about a happy moment in your life and be grateful for the joy it gave you. Reflect on happy moments, even if they’ve passed.

How I love the way you fights and marches,

Yes, that’s me
Look and you’ll see
My hair may be grey now, but it’s still my crowning glory
My eyes are brand new and enjoying seeing clearly again the wonders of nature
My arms are full of strength and love for all I see
My hands don’t like being still when there’s so much to do
My heart is yearning for peace and love in the world
I’m happiest when my loved ones are near me
I never ever want to stop singing
My friends can depend on me
I live the best way I can
I hope I do enough
I dream of all my loved ones happy and joyful
It’s clear as can be
That’s positively, absolutely me!
