Day 20-Free Choice

 Day 20-Free Choice

He climbed the hill

He said, “I will”

He showed the way

We all should pray

He is our Lord

Our hearts all soared

As we watched from our home above

Jesus is his name

He has no shame

His life foretold

By men of old

to save us all

From Adam’s fall

Because of His eternal love

So worship Him

And sing a hymn

Pray all the time

For love sublime

Down on you knees

These are the keys

To gain an eternal life

#NationalPoetryMonth

Day 19-Nonet

 Day 10-Nonet

Easter Sunday is the time of year

We think about our Savior dear

Worship Him and shed a tear

For all the pain and fear

For each of us here

He has no peer

It is clear

Adhere

Near

No boundaries

 Day 12-Free Verse Poem

D. E. A. R.

It’s Drop Everything And Read Day

A day to honor the author, Beverly Cleary

She wrote so many fun books

About Ramona and Beezus

Henry and Ribsy

Ralph the Mouse on the Motorcycle.

She opened worlds of wonder

And helped us to laugh at ourselves

She was a treasure to us all

Let’s each do our part today!

Read a book to ourselves

Read a book to a child or grandchild

Read a book to a neighbor

Read a book to a shut in

Books are important for everyone

So Drop Everything And Read!

#NationalPoetryMonth

Day 10-Naani

 Day 11-Naani Poem

Children

They are born and then your eyes meet

So precious and sweet

They are yours for a lifetime

Day 9 - 5Ws Poem

 Day 9-5Ws Poem

Crafty people

Using their skills

All over the globe

Every single day

Because they love doing it!

#NationalPoetryMonth

Day 8- Free Style

Day 8-my own choice( I couldn't get iambic pentameter to work , I tried!)

The books we all read can vary

We all like to read different things

For some, their books are usually airy

And others like learning about kings

There’s some books that are hard to carry

There are many that pull on heartstrings

Whatever you choose doesn’t matter

As long as they fill your book “platter”!

Day 7-Color Poem

Day 7-Color Poem

Blue is sad

Like the feelings when someone nears death’s door

Like the tears on loved one’s faces

As tearful as the rain

Yellow is hopeful

Like the knowledge of life after death

Like the daffodils now blooming

As glorious as the Son

Day 6-Shadorama

 Day 6-Shadorama Poem

Listening

His spirit speaks now

To lead me

To guide me

To my Savior Jesus Christ

I thank God for Him

#NationalPoetryMonth

Vital to life

Warming all we behold

Provides pure light to guide our way

Just like the Lamb of God

Ev’ry word just makes me queasy

#NationalPoetryMonth

Day2-Couplet

 Day 2-Couplet

Today I’d like to sit

And ruminate a bit

Our lives are constant change

Each day is such a range

But we keep moving on

Always looking for the dawn

Have faith, you’ll be alright

Our Savior is the light
