 Day 9- Free Verse Poem

It’s amazing to me that I am still here,

At the age I am now

When I was born, I had a Congenital Heart defect

Without the intervention of surgeons, I would not be here

The men of medicine and science

Through many long years

Were able to know how to fix my heart

It was a risky procedure back then,

And my parents were anguished,

But they trusted the doctors to repair my heart

Now here I am many years later

Realizing how thankful I am

I also know that our Savior is the great surgeon

He fixes our hearts and souls

He wants the best for us

He is there when we need Him

Just like our earthly parents

Rely on Him
