Day 29-Rainbow Poem-Acrostic Style

 Day 29-Rainbow Poem-Acrostic style

Rainbows are about hope
And Seeing another day
Innocent children drawing rainbows
New life and joyful laughter
Beautiful colors in the sky
One million wonderful ideas
When we see a rainbow
This picture is one of the many rainbows our daughter, Hanna, drew in her short innocent life.

Day 28-Pleiades Poem

 Day 28-Pleiades poem

Weather
Weather can drive you crazy
What do you need to wear?
When you have to make decisions
Will it snow or will it rain?
Which coat to choose
Wild and woolly wind
Why is Mother Nature a Yo-yo?

Day 27 - Octopoem

 Day 27-Octopoem

Sunday Thoughts
When I think of Sunday, I think of the color green
Green as in the Spring when we worship Christ
Christ as in that He died for me on the Cross
Cross as in what we need to think of to find Him all year
Year as in how we always need to wear our hearts on our sleeves
Sleeves as in what they touch when we kneel at the altar
Altar as in the one Christ knelt at on The Chosen
Chosen as in the bread and water we partake of willingly

Day 26-Quatrain Poem

 Day 26-Quatrain poem

Spring is lawn that needs mowing
Weeds that pop up everywhere
Blackberry bushes growing
Pear tree blossoms in the air
Everything is growing wild
Even all creatures feel it
The temperatures are mild
All creation is sunlit

 Funerals

Somber, yet joyous
Affirming words delivered helpfully
As comforting as possible
If only we could remember to celebrate our lives daily.

 Day 23-Prompt Poem

The day is just beginning
T’will be a glorious one
Me thinks thou will be winning
If thou looketh to the sun
So taketh time to get outside
To feel the sun on thy face
Ere night t’will soon abide
The moon doth give the chase!

Day 21-I Wish, But I Am Poem

Day 21-I Wish, but I Am poem

I wish I could fly like a bird
Like the birds I see in the sky
And I dream of the sights I would see
I am dreaming of flying so high
I used to remember my dreams
But now I forget them right away
I seem to need to remember that bird
But I’m down on the earth, here to stay

Day 20-Free Choice

 Day 20-Free Choice

He climbed the hill
He said, “I will”
He showed the way
We all should pray
He is our Lord
Our hearts all soared
As we watched from our home above
Jesus is his name
He has no shame
His life foretold
By men of old
to save us all
From Adam’s fall
Because of His eternal love
So worship Him
And sing a hymn
Pray all the time
For love sublime
Down on you knees
These are the keys
To gain an eternal life

For each of us here

Near

Jesus

No boundaries

Day 10-Free Verse Poem

 Day 12-Free Verse Poem

D. E. A. R.
It’s Drop Everything And Read Day
A day to honor the author, Beverly Cleary
She wrote so many fun books
About Ramona and Beezus
Henry and Ribsy
Ralph the Mouse on the Motorcycle.
She opened worlds of wonder
And helped us to laugh at ourselves
She was a treasure to us all
Let’s each do our part today!
Read a book to ourselves
Read a book to a child or grandchild
Read a book to a neighbor
Read a book to a shut in
Books are important for everyone
So Drop Everything And Read!

Children
They are born and then your eyes meet
So precious and sweet
They are yours for a lifetime
